MIB had an AMAZING time at a very special wedding we performed at a few weeks ago in Gloucestershire! You might have read a little about this one already in our ‘Attention To Detail’ blog, which we got some fantastic response from, so we thought we’d now show you the official photos which have just come in. The event was designed and managed by Alastair Currie Events, a Bristol-based event management company who we have been lucky enough to work with on many occasions. The event was planned and developed over an 18 month period with the on site building taking 5 weeks to completion – and what a stunning wedding it was!
We were so pleased to have received the below feedback:
“MIB provided us with an amazing 12-piece band at a very special ACEs wedding in September 2013, as always the preparations in advance and the focus of the team onsite were of the highest quality. We are always so pleased to work with the MIB team who continue to be at the absolute top of their game in providing us with the best set up, sound quality and working out all logistics from start to finish. The performance of the band was unparalleled with incredible singing and musical performances from the full dozen, we had guests that just didn’t want it to end and the bride and groom were absolutely delighted. The sound was truly excellent and the level of energy from the stage made the dancefloor absolutely packed from start to end. MIB continue to be ACEs preferred band for all of our events and it was a pleasure to work with them once again”.
We provided our 12 piece MIB line up featuring: 2 Female Vocalists, 2 Male Vocalists, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion – as well as our uber talented soundman who makes us sound extra special!
A massive ‘wow’ factor for this wedding was the Marquee. This was a double-decker specially adapted and designed by Alastair Currie Events with a top-tier dining are and lower-tier dancefloor and nightclub bar complete with an outside viewing deck on either level. The lower level was kept secret until the reveal later on, just before the first dance. This also meant the area was absolutely pristine when it came to the evening event. The guests faces after the big reveal were a sight to be seen! It must have been such a lovely site to have revealed as every detail of the lower ground was just as fantastic as the lavish meal and area they had enjoyed upstairs.
We played a mixture of music, chosen from our repertoire by the Bride and Groom. The crowd danced all night long, from songs by The Beatles to Rihanna.
The first dance was spectacular! The bride changed out of her beautiful wedding dress into an equally gorgeous 1940′s styled dress. The theme ran throughout the décor for the evening as there was a beautiful feather patterned on the dancefloor as well as smaller details such as the guest book had feather quills to sign with. The bride and groom performed an excellently choreographed routine to ‘The Time Is Now’ by Moloko and the guests watched from above. The end of their routine had them walk up the stairs to where their guests where to celebrate with a glass of champagne before making their way back to the dance floor, this time with their guests, to party to MIB. There were 130 guests for an intimate wedding celebration with close friends and family who had travelled from all over the world to attend the wedding weekend.
This really was a very special event and one we will remember and be inspired by for a long time. A massive thanks to Alastair Currie Events once again for involving us, and a big Congratulations! to our lovely Bride and Groom.
